The best hayfever drug I have taken - the only one that works! (Zirtek)

Advantages: Easily available, works.

Zirtek is basically Cetirizine dihydrochloride that has been produced by a certain company and branded Zirtek. Cetirizine dihydrochloride is available from most pharmacies on it's own in cheaper varieties and you are pretty much buying exactly the same product. My review will therefore cover this particular chemical/drug rather than the Zirtek brand specifically, because I don't pay the extra pounds for Zirtek, I don't see any need to. I will call Cetirizine dihydrochloride CD for the purpose of this review as it's a little bit hard to keep typing.

I have had hayfever pretty much all my life, not major hayfever, but certainly there have been a few times in my life where I have been out in the wildnerness or playing on a field, and I've had an incredibly hard time seeing/talking because of hayfever symptoms. Therefore, during the hayfever season, I tend to take tablets. Except when we have rainy weeks, which tends to be quite a lot because then I don't seem to suffer.

I have tried Hayright, Piriton and other drugs and none seemed to really work, I couldn't tell if there was any reduction in symptoms after taking these medications. Then I was recommended CD, which I asked my doctor to prescribe. Fabukous stuff, for me this really does stop hayfever attacks when I know I would otherwise be sneezing my head off. I would say that if you have lost faith in hayfever tablets all together, try this - you may find it works. I have never encountered any side effects when taking these tablets, and have never even felt the slightest bit drowsy, although I do not recommend mixing them with excessive alcohol.

Summary: Try them, they definately have the potential to work.
