Oral acyclovir is used to treat initial genital herpes infections and to treat patients with recurring (6 episodes or more per year) severe genital herpes. Acyclovir reduces the pain and the number of lesions, and decreases the frequency and severity in those who have recurrent infections. In the treatment of shingles, acyclovir reduces pain, ...

Review: Zovirax - 2g Pump This review is for any of you who suffer from cold sore flares or will do in the future. Introduction Seeing as up to 85% of people have the "Herpes Simplex Virus no.1" laying dormant in their nerve cells until it's triggered by any of the many daily triggers that will cause it ...

Not an overly expensive remedy relative to some other miracle cures offered elsewhere, but generally disappointing results. Having suffered from cold sores from childhood I've tried jsut about everything, and Zovirax was prescribed by my GP. I'd disagree with the manufacturers claims that it can prevent a blister form appearing if used ...

I suppose Cornflake Girl is a strange title for a review about Zovirax, but believe me, it is a very apt name for me when I have a cold sore because basically it looks like I've got a cornflake stuck on my upper lip. Cold sores - the bane of my life. Some people find that sunlight triggers them, some find that cold weather triggers ...

I do suffer from cold sores but after finally getting round to purchasing Zovirax Cold Sore cream I do think that I have suffered for nothing. I was quite surprised because the product actually works. I have seen the advert for Zovirax and it seems so easy, but can it really be that easy I thought? Well, it was. When I feared a ...

It’s important to prepared for the winter blues. The last thing you want is a flu or cold sores affecting your health. Tell you the truth I haven’t got the time to be ill such is my busy schedule at university. I used Zovirax Cold sore cream last year and it did help me. Although, I did by the end of winter just when I thought I had ...

Once upon a time, in a land not so very far from here, a beautiful baby Princess was born. She was blue of eye and fair of skin, with cheeks as soft and downy as a fresh-ripened peach, a tiny, rosebud mouth and hair of spun gold (Look! - This is a fairy tale okay?) and her parents, the King and Queen, who were enthralled by her, named her Suzan. ...

A cold sore is a form of herpes which is a type of viral infection, Zovirax is one of the best for viral infections, but the best time to use it is when you actually feel the familiar tingle of a cold sore. Once a cold sore is out fully it is not really any good, this was told to me by my employer who is a doctor. I will say it is ...

I wouldn't recommend Zovirax to anyone. Firstly, it's very expensive for what you get, secondly, it doesn't work very well and can actually increase the "disaster area", and thirdly, there are several, far far cheaper, way better alternative treatments. So here we go... Zovirax costs about a fiver, ...

Quite by accident I have stumbled on a 'treatment' for cold sores that (for me at least) appears to be even more effective than Zovirax. Cold sores (which most commonly appear on the facial area) are caused by the Herpes Simplex virus. This virus has the nasty habit of lurking for good in your system once you've contracted ...

Since developing M.E., I’ve suffered rather too many cold sores, I can guarantee that when I’m feeling particularly run down or low, I’ll get one of those revolting itchy blisters that seem to take forever to heal up. A few weeks ago I wasn’t too well and was rewarded with THREE of the little blighters, all lined up on my ...

In Austria the current advertising campaign for Zovirax says “Zovirax gibt Ihnen ihr Lächeln zurück.” - “Zovirax gives you your smile back” and “Ein Lächeln sagt mehr als tausend Worte” – ie. “A smile says more than a thousand words”. Coldsores are, let’s face it, pretty unpleasant, and ...
