	DeLonghi Garda Heater ... chose the DeLonghi Garda Electric stove for its appearance, and its brand name. I have recently gone completely over to electricity rather than use gas and I needed a replacement fire for my lounge. This stands at 55 cms high and is 57 cms wide. It is made of grey metal and has a coal effect which is accessible via a door that opens at the front. The flame effect uses two 40w screw in bulbs and the unit can be set at 1kw or 2kw for heat. 	Burley Chilton 128 ... bought this 2kw portable, free standing electric stove last year as we have an all-electric flat but we have traditional taste, so we wanted something that blended in with out décor without looking ridiculous. The first thing to mention is that the fire is bigger than it seems in the pictures. We also have a Broseley cast iron stove with is much smaller and thinner so we use this in our living room fireplace. The Burley Chilton (ours does not have the wings on shown on the picture above for some reason) is a nice, traditional design. 	Big K Smokeless Coal Fire ... my other fire product reviews state, I am a lazy firelighter. I like to light-and-go. But I can t do that with Big K Smokeless Coal. This has to be cajoled into lighting. It takes time to catch and when it does there is still an is it/isn t it period while I wait to see if the coal is actually alight or whether the firelighter I m using is solely responsible for the heat and flames I m witnessing. The coal is available in 10Kg and 20Kg bags. The 10Kg is plenty big enough for my small fireplace and generally lasts about 8-10 3-4 hour fires, which for around £6-7 per bag is quite economical.
