Half way through the cold snap and endless snow, our heating decided that it wasn t just going to need me clamped to all the radiators bleeding them and trying to find a cheap solution. Because of the nature of double glazing and many rooms in our home, I had to find heaters to independently heat rooms when we had relied on our central heating to cov...

nickbrown60 Micromark MM53509
... and welcome to this review:) "Gosh is it hot in here or is it just me", was a commonly used phrase when someone entered our kitchen. It was decided, we needed a fan. I don t know how our house is so warm. Heating off in the middle of the UK. Should be freezing? but no way. On the search for a fan we found this is Woolworths, Sadly Woolworths have closed now but their memories still live on. This fan was a very good price. Only £29 which I personally thought was good for the Micromark brand, however some people did not agree, as they apparently saw one in the HypaValue closing sale a month before for the extremely low price of £10 pounds! Logan33 Delonghi HS20/F
... save money on gas bills this winter we decided to buy the Delonghi HS 20-F Convector heater. The heater cost us £40 from Argos, but you d better be quick because I think everyone else had the same idea as us as we only bought this one because all the others were out of stock!!!!!!!! just so you know, there are different types of heaters you can buy (I m now an expert!!! sadly!!!!) Oil based heaters: (More expensive, but more economic) they are like a regular radiator but are filled with oil (a better conductor of heat and maintains heat for longer). Convection/fan heaters: hot air comes out of the heater heating and circulating the air around the room. (cheaper but...

firemanspam Delonghi Dragon 3 1025
... dragon 2,500 watts, with built in timer. My Delonghi Dragon, was bought as a stop-gap when my old boiler broke down, (Insert Wife joke here) it has since done sterling service in many parts of the house, and is one purchase I will never regret. I have actually forgotten how much I paid for mine, but it was well worth the money. They have even come down in price since then (several years ago) and are at bargain prices at this time of year, even in the Winter. My version has 1,200 watts, and is fitted with a timer. Although I have not had to use this timer, it would be a very useful thing to have, especially if you would like to have this come on before you wake...
