The unit is attractive and efficient in operation. The only problem I had with it was getting it level because if it isn't level, the flame effect drum at the back makes a noise. A spirit level and some pieces of cork soon resolved the problem though.

I chose the DeLonghi Garda Electric stove for its appearance, and its brand name. I have recently gone completely over to electricity rather than use gas and I needed a replacement fire for my lounge. This stands at 55 cms high and is 57 cms wide. It is made of grey metal and has a coal effect which is accessible via a door that opens at the front. The flame effect uses two 40w screw in bulbs and the unit can be set at 1kw or 2kw for heat.
