Boy, has this heater been my saving grace, in fact, I have it on right now!! I previously have bought heaters from argos and some random no named store that sold them (both of which broke)
I've now had this heater for almost 2 years, and it is yet to break which is great!! The heater has 3 settings, one a cold, one slightly warm, and one toasty warm. Theres also a dial of which I am yet to realise what it does, but I always keep it on the max.
This heater is super light weight and the lead is long enough so you can tidy it away so no-one may trip on it. The hottest setting really is hot, and it slightly burns if you stand really close to it which I do (ops)!
I find that you really don't need this heater on for a long time at all to heat up a room, which is great as they do take up alot of power. Normally when you room is nice and hot you would turn it off, but I normally leave mine own for longer, it's just so nice and warm!!
3 heat settings which is great. The hottest is mainly for heating up rooms, and the lowest is normally what I use when sat in front of it! The cold - not really that useful but I have used it in the past during summer!
Lightweight, still yet to discolour which is also a huge bonus!
The matte white looks great and not cheap at all!
The buttons markings for the heat level have now been wiped off, which isn't a disaster since it's pretty obvious which setting is which!!
It also looks slightly burnt in the inside so I may need to get a new one at some point
Cheep and cheerful. For this small price my expectations weren't high. My previous fans and heaters were in the same price range, usually costed even more. They rattled incessantly, they emitted a burning plastic and they broke down shortly after purchase. That's what I expected for an even smaller price but thankfully this heater and cooler in-one surpassed my expectations by a mile.
It effectively heated all my rooms rather quickly; its compact design makes for easy storage, portability and doesn't detract from the room's appearance. I'm very fussy about which decor silts up my room and happily I agree this pleasantly adorns my room. I'm a 'less is more'-type fellow so this suits my needs; and the fact that one can position it vertically and horizontally is lovely because I can warm up my feet or warm/cool the entire room.
2 Heat settings, Variable thermostat, Auto saftey cut-off, Prone or upright positions, Approx. 1.5m BS approved mains cord, Cool blow function, Anti freeze protection, Integral carry handle.
Overall, I would recommend it for the winter and the summer - it's great value for money. It's not the best heater in the world and it's limited in terms of options and features but it certainly serves its purpose.
If your anything like me you grep up in a house with no central heating many winters morning before school you would find me and my sister sitting straight in front of the electric fire with three full bars on,
of course its all central heating now and if im honest i am not a huge fan its either all or nothing and with the price of utilities at the moment costs a fortune.
I retreat to my little office(where i am right now)to grab a breath as its cold in there but sometimes too cold,so again i fire up google and end up at ebay and amazon going from what i read a little fan heater would be perfect as i could have it on or off dependent on the scottish weather(which can be anything all in the same day)they also seem to be small and very economical.
After reading reviews and weighing up the pro,s and cons of cost versus performance i decided on this little beauty made by Lloytron(they seem to make all sorts)it seems to fit the bill and the price was right
at a little over 10 quid plus free delivery,it arrived in the standard few days and couldnt wait to see how it performed.
It is very light has 2 dials for your preferred settings first is a timer and the second is the heat regulator
it also has a cut out system ie if its not getting the required ventilation it will cut down to a lower setting or cut out all together, this is a brilliant idea and its far safer than a gas bottled heater or mini electris fire
,on the hottest setting its quite good but not fantastic and takes about 15 mins to heat up what is a small room but thats being really picky.
All in all if you want a safe small source of heat thats very economical and safe it well worth a look,it would also suit students on a budget and seems very reliable.
