Sony CMT-BX70DBI ... great, smart, sleek and stylish system with good crisp sound with a stong bass. easy to use and reliable. probably not a good system for a large room but for rooms such as a bedroom or kitchen i could not see better system to choose. can be easily mounted on the a shelf freeing up space in the room. connecting the i pod to the docking station is a very easy way to access your favourite tracks and in the future systems will probably phase out the need for a cd feature. the dab radio is also a great new technology, meaning you can enjoy interference free radio, even medium wave stations such as five live or talksport sound so much clearer when compared to the old, dated ... Panasonic SC EN28EG-S ... front loading CD player - door opens upwards in a folding motion, CDs are easy to insert. Close door, press play and away it goes. All of the controls are on the lower edge of the stereo and on the remote control too. You can programme - repeat etc - but what s wrong with just listening to the CD I say. The sound quality is superb for such a small player. I have never even got anywhee near full volume. The speakers are separate with a few wires each, but they need to be next to the stereo - it looks odd otherwise, and for this reason ti needs to be located so you see it front on not side on - positioning matters with this - from the side you see the wires. Sony CMT-BX70DBI ... replaced an old Panasonic hi-fi with this new fancy item as I needed an iPod dock and a DAB radio. It is a very stylish unit in trendy shiny black, and it is really small- the picture suggests it is much bigger than it is- but it is deep. The system is one of the few I found on the market that had DAB, FM and AM radio tuners. This was important to me as I enjoy listening to football, and often BBC radio Scotland has a different game on different frequencies- it can be very annoying when the game you want is on DAB or on AM on sets that don t have this tuner!
