Philips FW M589 ... philips mini system is a very powerfull thing. it pumps out 400watts per speaker and the bass on it is outstanding. no matter your music tastes this little system will make your music sound so clear and make it feel like your in the middle of the band etc. it has a didital amp,usb pc link,game port/game volume,max sound, max dynamic amplificatio control and in the speakers is 2inch ferro-fluid cooled tweeter. also this beast can hook up to your t.v to make the best surround sound ever. it has a onboard computer with cooling fan to make sure all your music needs are met.... Kenwood XD-552 ... have this quite a few years now. It has been a fantastic hi-fi from Day one! Everything works like it should. It is pretty robust also. I like the dot matrix display which makes letters look more realistic than units that show square letters. It is 2x100 watts RMS, and has fantastic sound. There are preset equalisers, and options to add 2 Custom presets, which is rather handy! The CD carousel works well and allows for CD Text, as I d expect from Kenwood, though sadly its downfall is that it doesn t remember what discs were in it once the unit is put in standby.
