Now, as I said you can add components when you feel the need, they don't need to be Denon, and they can be full sized if that's what you want. I got my cassette player from Dixons in a clearance for £50 as it was an older model, but you would pay around about 3 times that for the 'current' model. A mini disk player would cost around £250. Well I am not in anyway an audiophile, but I thought the time had come to move away from only being able to play my CD's through my PC. I hummed and hawed about separates and midi systems and found, what I think is the best compromise - micro separates. In essence this is what these small denon systems are. For your money you will get a box with a CD Player, Amp and radio. So effectively it's a Mini sytem, but here's the rub- you can add extra separates to it. Effectively it's a long slender box, so it fits is an area that you wouldn't get 'real separates' into.
