The model I now have was substituted by Argos when the stock of my original choice had been depleted. I am now extremely pleased that I accepted the new product. The Micro System outputs 30W per speaker which is more that most within this price range, and more that my original choice, all for the same price. The player contains all of the expected functions, programmable CD Player, RDS Radio, Auto Reverse Cassette player. ... dont understand how come my parents have: A chest freezer. A Bang and Olufsen Hi Fi. A hoover. An upright fridge. A bunch of power tools. ALL WHICH WERE PURCHASED IN 1970 AND ARE STILL IN FULL WORKING ORDER !! Neither of these have ever had a service or have any form of extended warranty and are still fully operational.( although now secondry items to new stuff bought in the last 5 years) BUT.. If I buy any goods (of this nature) I have to buy warranties and insurances and guarantees. and as soon as one of these runs out, the equipment will die !! ... This is an excellent hi fi and had everything that I was looking for. I would recommend this to anyone that has lots of money to spend (at £299-99 it isn't cheap but worth every penny), someone that's into high technology with all the latest "mod cons" and someone that wants style, minidisk recording and play facilities, CD player and radio packed into a small space, (w)21 (D)30 (H)15cm. The speakers are also very small, (W)15 (D)22 (H)27, they have a removable grey cover wihich does actually look better without it! Underneath the cover there's hidden a stylish modern look.
