Advantages: Great sound

Disadvantages: Quite bulky

I have had this player for over a year now, and can honestly say it's one of the best stereo systems I've ever owned.

I spent a considerably long time looking for a stereo system that had a proper iPod interface, not just an auxiliary function. The iSymphony comes with a number of dock attachments which allows you to dock in a great number of different generation iPods. Though it took me a while to work out which one I needed for mine, but when I did I learned that I didn't need to do any more to the system to set up my iPod.

Aside from the iPod feature, you have the obligatory tuner, a cd function, and an auxiliary function for things like usb memory sticks, sd cards and the like.

The system also comes with a remote, which is fantastic if you are listening to music from the kitchen and you are unable to come away from the cooking, and even if you are just feeling a bit lazy and wanting to chill out, it's nice to know you don't have to get up to change tracks or to tune into a different radio station.

The sound quality from this player is fantastic. Many a time I have been to friend's houses and had to pretend to be impressed with the sound coming from the speakers, but I honestly feel that these are worth every penny, and are perfect for either listening quietly to by yourself, or in a party scenario.

The only thing I think the iSymphony could benefit from is having DAB digital radio stations. As this stereo system was coming out just after DAB was introduced, I am very surprised it wasn't included.

I cannot remember exactly how much I paid for the system, but I think it was around the £150 mark. I bought it from Currys Digital and they were very helpful in both helping me find a system that had the specs I required, and was in my price range. Highly recommended!
