“ JVC UX-H10 - Micro system - radio / CD / cassette „
I was given this by my Mother, before it had been the CD player in the living room. Despite having a vast iTunes collection, I still frequently purchase CDs and of course, with this being a CD player, it's ideal. The speakers can play pretty loud, although I don't ever need them on max volume. The volume system seems a little unbalanced though, as level 8 is really quiet, yet up a few to 12-14 and it can be heard through the floor. Although this may be due to the bass, which is also really good, especially when listening to songs with bass in them. You can change the bass according to the song too. The player also has options for shuffling and repeating the tracks, or the whole CD. It's an extremely useful feature but can only be accessed via the remote which then becomes not too useful if you lose it, or have no replacement batteries. There have been a few times when my CDs have been unable to be read, but I'm not entirely sure if it was the CD or the player. The CD can play CD-R and CD-RW discs, but it struggles to play CDs with a lot of tracks, for example 17 tracks - it will play, but it can take a few loads. Overall, it's a very good CD player, it does exactly what I need. It also plays tapes, but I never use that function, along with the radio feature.
