I have recently bought a JVC SF-SD 7 stereo system and I absolutely love it. If you have seen the slinky design your attention is instantly drawn. Unfortunately it is very expensive for simply a single CD deck and three-band radio. I understand that the features it has are top quality and the sound quality is impeccable for miniature 15-watt RMS speakers but whether it is good value or not, I cannot decide. I accept that I will pay over the odds for a new product and one of a stylish, extraordinary design but I couldn’t help but notice that for the same price I could buy a 5 CD multi-changer, twin tape deck, minidisc recorder (at a stretch) with 70 watt speakers. If you like a different design that will stand out in any room I would strongly suggest looking at the JVC SF-SD range. However if you are on a budget, if you want brute power or you want more than CD and radio look somewhere else.
