Advantages: Lots of features which work well, nice sound
Disadvantages: Fiddly volume control
I've had this hifi system in my kitchen for about 2 months now. I have to say it's brilliant in many ways. I'm very please with it.
I'm an average consumer and music listener - and to me the sound quality is really very good - enough bass and generally nice to listen to and has many different eq settings (as do most modern players). This really is a good quality consumer system - it may not cut it for those who want the perfect, latest technology in sound (not an average consumer) - but for just listening to music anywhere in your house it really does sound nice. It includes most things you would want in a system like this: DAB radio, iPod Docking station at the top (a cable is included for non-ipod players), FM Radio, CD player. It even charges your iPod while you listen.
Another nice feature is being able to plug in your USB stick to record FM radio. The major downside about this feature is that you cannot record DAB radio - however, for many this will not be an issue. The volume control can take a little getting used to (it's a touch sensitive "wheel") and may irritate some.
For an average person wanting a good quality hifi system you can rely on with many features, then this will be for you. But the volume control (minor set back) and no recording of DAB radio may hinder some people's choices to buy this.
Summary: Good quality for the average household but controls can be a bit fiddly
