I have had this Hifi set for over 5 years now, and it's been in use for at least ten hours a week. I use it when I'm cleaning the house, and yes, it can still be heard clear as a bell over the top of the hoover, on half volume. Thats the stunning thing about this thing, it's cheap but good quality, and very loud! The sound quality does not deteriorate at higher volumes, it still sounds just as refined, but strangely it does loose quality at lower volumes. When you have the volume on -72db or less it sounds very crackly, like radio static over a track, and when you are trying to listen to it quietly this sound drowns out the music a great ...  Read the complete review

Bought this for myself a couple of years ago and i've still got it now, as a fan of playing music loud i needed a system that was capable of playing loud music, but maintaining the quality of the song. This system does that, easily, you can turn it up so loud that the room shakes and it still plays in astounding quality. It's very easy to use aswell, although at first glance the remote control which comes with it can seem a bit confusing. Also, another downside is that for somebody with not a lot of knowledge of cd players / hifi systems, the eq buttons on the system can seem very confusing, and you may end up having to push the buttons in order to find out what they do!  Read the complete review
