... aerial is poor, getting a decent reception is nigh on impossible. If you can get a signal it does have RDS. The cd feature is front loading slot in. Disappointingly it only supports wma and mp3, which isnt great for a system advertised for anything up to £199. I paid around £130 from Selfridges which is a more realistic price. One other thing Philips could have included was the Streamium feature, its only since buying other Philips products that I've realised this could have been an advantage....more

I have owned this system for almost a year now, and on the whole have been very pleased with it. I had a choice of 3 systems and this won because its appearance, with mirrored front and glossy black control panel (however i've since realised you need to be careful cleaning this part as it scratches easilly!). The sound quality for a relatively small system is excellent, it handles bass well and is very clear with the usual settings for 'ROCK', 'POP', 'CLASSIC' and 'JAZZ' however there is no facility for setting the eq' levels yourself. Set up is very simple as there is little to do apart from plug in the aerials, mains lead and the correct i-pod adapter. ... Read the complete review
