My first proper stereo after borrowing my parents one for a while when i was living at home and I must have owned this stereo now for 7 years and to be frank it has been fantastic, i listened to a couple fo stereos i liked in the store and this one just sung out 'sound quality' and also had the fantastic speaker on top for extra bass. Philips call it 'Woox' technology, whatever that means, I just know it sounds great because you have yous tweeter for high range, main speaker for midrange and the one on top for serious bassage.

On typical speakers you get the flexible ring round the outside that allows the speakers to move, well the woox speaker has 2 of these rings allowing it extra flexibilty and providing a great sound.

Has broken down on me once while I've had it and got it repaired under warranty for free, it was the amp that had burned out i believe but this was quite some time ago i can't remember, and i think I had overloaded it by connecting a couple of subs to it lol being a young boy trying to get more bass out of it.

It has an Auxillary connection so like I have you can connect to a TV and use as surround sound - brilliant. Also has extra terminals so you can connect to extra speakers if you think you need them.

All in all - brilliant but don't think its for sale anyhow as couldn't find any anywhere now, newer models have obviosuly superceeded this one, but if you spot a second hand bargain - pick it up
