I was sick of my old big and bulky CD player and liked the look of the vertical ones where you can see the CD through the front so asked my mum for one of those for Christmas and she bought me this Philips one.
I was very pleased as it was ideal for what I wanted. It takes up only a small amount of space, looks stylish and doesn't look too intrusive in a room. If you press the bottom part, it opens up to reveal buttons but it also comes with a remote control. The speakers attach to either side of the CD player part and it is quite flat so it could easily fit on a shelf.
I have had this CD player for more than 3 years now and it is still going strong. I use it nearly every day so it obviously made very well as if it wasn't I would have expected the opening mechanism at least to have gone as you press a button and the front slides up for you to change the CD. I have had Cd players before also where the laser has gone and it hasn't been able to read all CDs but this one still works perfectly.
I only wanted it to play CDs but it actually functions as more. It has DAB digital radio so you can listen to any radio station you want. The other thing that I like is that you can plug your ipod USB into the bottom and it will play the songs from your ipod as well so no need to buy seperate ipod speakers.
Well, i love the overall design of this hifi system. Its very modern and sheek. Also the sound quality is fantastic and the volume is quite loud. It is very easy to set up and to function. Its very easy to slide in a cd, Its goes in smoothly and swiftly. Also i like the way how it stands up and is in one piece. It makes it much easier to place and makes it more handy. And much more practical. Also the remote control is also easy to use. The buttons are easy to press and is very simple. Also the colour code of this hifi system is very trendy and sophisticated. The black and the metal looks really good together. Overall i think that this hifi system is a great buy and worth the money that you pay for it. And you get a lot of quality sound.
I love Philips products and did have a previous Philips HiFi before getting this one but i wanted another HiFi for a different room. I saw this one and just loved the design. The price was putting me off slightly at near £100 but now i have it, i'm so glad i spent the money.
Firstly the CD player, this is the main feature of it. The front cover slides up so you can put the CD in, it slides so smoothly and quietly. CDs play excellent as well. The sound is brilliant at all different volumes.
As well as being a basic CD player, this HiFi also has a USB port so you can connect MP3 players and flash drives with music files on. It will play both WMA and MP3 files. I often use the USB port as i download music from the internet and i don't have to keep using blank CDs each time.
There is also an Auxiliary port on the top of the HiFi to connect Ipods and other media.
There is a full function remote which you can do everything with. It has a good angle of response so you do not have to point the remote directly towards the HiFi for it to work.
The Hifi also has an alarm function so you set the clock and you can wake up to your music playing from either the CD, USB or radio.
That brings me to the next point, it also has a radio tuner built in. I don't actually use this as i have a seperate radio but i did try it and it works great. It comes with a seperate arial or you can connect your own to it to get an even better signal.
The HiFi looks fantastic, this is really what made me buy it. It looks so modern and stylish and will suit any room. You can either have it freestanding on a table or shelf with the included stand, or you can hang it on the wall.
I can't recommend this HiFi enough, you will be happy if you buy it.
Trendy and progressive, unique innovation and style appeals to you. And so will the vividly chic MCM277 with dynamic sound performance packed in a sleek design with MP3/WMA-CD and USB Direct playback that can also be wall mounted.
