I bought the philips about 12 months ago to mainly use in the kitchen as it had dab, cd & tape (which seems quite a rara combination). So I would only need the 1 unit to playback any media type.

It looks great and much better quality than to be expected for the price so it's great value. The remote is featured packed (although you cannot control the tape with it). The speakers are incased in wood and great to look at and also very much bass sound to them.

The display and settings are a bit limited but then the fact it has dab and a cd which can play mp3 are great. For me the dab reception has been very good overall and any problems are usually from the station themselves and not this unit.

I love the fact you can playback mp3's from the memory stick and I have not seen any similar music systems yet so this has some great features.

Summary: good value for money with usb port
