Pioneer IS 21TThis model delivers a total power of 110 Watts through 6 3/4-Inch 3-Way speakers, and features a noise distortion cancellation circuit to eliminate distortion when you crank the volume up all the way (and this thing really puts out some sound). Pioneer knows you don't want to sacrifice design for power, and IS Shelf Systems won't disappoint. The Silver and Chrome finish screams "high tech" and the blue LCD screens will make you the envy of your peers. Of course, you'll only settle for the best, so Pioneer has incorporated some cool features: a separate amplifier with a power level meter, feather-touch Bass and Treble Controls and Motorized Sliding CD Door (just casually touch the top of the main unit, and the CD door will open and close). I think this stereo is the best as it has great bass and cool sound. The bass has tremendous ability of making your floor to vibrate. This stereos sound is great because it goes up to 37, but even when it’s only on 13 you feel like you are in a club. The recording quality is very good, as the tape you have just recorded on sounds like it was specially made. The stereo is really nice silver, which in my opinion goes really well with light blue. Another thing I really do like about this hi fi is the way the cd cover comes down. You can do this from the remote control or on the stereo itself. A new thing is that instead of the tape compartment being like ... Read the complete review

I bought this stereo almost a year ago now, and to date I've had no problems with it. As a university student I do move around quite a bit (between Uni, home and summer work) and I take my stereo with me, so its quite easy to pack up and move. The cables between all the different pieces (amp, cd player and speakers) are quite long so you can pretty much split it up and put it wherever theres a space. When I first bought the IS series, the salesman told me that the IS series didn't have hundreds of features like other stereos you buy for £300, but it looks great no matter where you put it - and it's true! I get comments on it all the time. The slidey door ... Read the complete review
