This hi-fi really is the bee?s knees; it offers practicality functionality and great styling on top. As usual Sony have not missed anything on this hi-fi.

It is a bit pricey but then you get a lot for your money. The hi-fi offers the usual great sound quality from Sony; you can record from the CD to the MD easily, with only two clicks. Hit the CD - MD sync button, and then play and your recording your favourite album onto MD. If your CD has track and title information then this is copied to the MD as well. Now your probably thinking that most hi-fi's with MD do that, but what sets this hi-fi apart from all the rest is the simplicity it is to record and the amount of input ports there are. It offers an optical input on the back of the hi-fi but the best bit is that it has a line in port on the front. With this you can plug in any source of music with a line out port (headphones) and away you go to record straight to your MD. So you can plug in your TV into the hi-fi, go onto MTV hit record on your hi-fi and your recording your favourite tunes from the TV.

Not only do Sony hi-fi's sound great they also look great. Silver metallic plastic covers the body of the hi-fi, this may sound a bit tacky, and most usually is, but this is a Sony, so you can be rest assured that it really does look and feel like metal.

now considering I brought this hi-fi in the winter of 2002 for £350 from Comet, I am still seeing it listed for £300+ on various internet sites, I would recommend it to people because it really is a great hi-fi and I haven?t seen a sony mini-disc hi-fi that looks as good as this one does. Including the fact that it has a line in port on the front makes it a wonderful package.

The hi-fi is also very loud, and the bass is fantastic, in part because it comes with DBFB (Dynamic Bass FeedBack) which really rocks. The remote control is excellent there are all the functions on the remote control and only the most used buttons
on the hi-fi, which keeps it clean and simple. Has a nice alarm which you can wake up listening to your favourite music.

although this hi-fi was realised it really is a great hi-fi and you could do a search into eBay to see if they have or maybe go to kelkoo but as it has been around for a bit you really could get a fantastic bargain, because this hi-fi ROCKS, it actually made a picture fall of my shelf due to the bass.
