      The Product Itself
      **************
This is a stackable music system, comprising of four separate parts which can be stacked as a tower, or side by side. The four parts are; radio tuner, CD player, cassette player and amplifier.
The components are silver in colour and the two 30 watt speakers are dark wood effect. This is a very smart and stylish looking system.

      Good Points.

*For those of us who may still happen to have and play cassettes, the cassette player has the excellent feature of skipping to the start of any chosen track, simply by pressing a button the number of times that relates to the number of the track. Brilliant! No more annoying fast forwarding and rewinding over and over, trying to find the exact point where the track starts.

*Very straightforward to use. Once turned on, simply select the choice of media you would like to play using the buttons.

*When using CD's you have the option of playing the whole way through the CD, or by only selecting certain tracks of your choice. Great for when you don't like all the tracks on an album.

*Choice of inputting up to 10 preset radio stations.

      *Comes with remote control.

*The sound quality from this machine is fantastic.

*Great price for the quality. (Mine cost around £300)

      My Opinions on This Product.
      ***********************
You will notice I have not included a Bad Points section on this item, simply because I don't believe that it has any!
I personally think that the quality of the sound from this system and the system itself is truely excellent. Technics really are quality made products. I have owned several other music players prior to this one and this is far superior in quality, in both sound and design. I have owned mine for the last 10 years and its still going strong and is in the same perfect condition as when I first purchased it.
I give this item 5 out of 5 stars. I would give it 6 if I could!

Very precise, very accurate and neutral. It reveals flaws in setup with great transparancy

TECHNICS HD-301 is another fantastic succesfull product from TECHNICS.I always use this particular product for my patients during music activity in hospital where i work.It is a beautiful system with great functionality and sound.Portable nice slim silver metal design.I so much love it.I ve recommended this for 2 of my colleagues and they re quite happy with it. Good remote control, nice option to run strictly on battery mode.Very good balance and symmetrical channels, the midrange is accurate as the treble are never harsh (except when really on the signal!) very good bass control and articulation. The remote control is plenty of controls and operates perfectly .Sound quality, transparent, very stable stereo image, never confused also in simphonic orchestra "pienissimo", silent on both ac and battery operation (this last I use only for phono audition). This pre is a honey/sleeper with a dual personality. You can never regret spending your money on this wonderful product.
