Cosatto Aurora Highchair
Advantages: Great price, Lewis is happy in it.
Anybody who has a baby will need to purchase a highchair and the 'Cosatto Aurora' is a decent mid budget option. The Aurora comes in a variety of patterns so it should be easy to find one that fits in with your home. We have a lot of baby stuff from the 'Fisher Price Rainforest' range and we were tempted to go for the 'Rainforest' highchair but the price and quality of the Cosatto swayed us.
When you buy this high chair there is some assembly required, it only took my wife and I fifteen minutes to put it together. Everything you need to assemble the Aurora is included in the kit so you don't need to worry if you don't have any tools at home.
The seat of the Aurora is very well padded so Lewis is very comfortable in it. The straps are easy to use but these days Lewis gets agitated when you strap him into something, unlike some high chairs the Aurora has a crotch bar so whilst he is supervised is safe in the highchair without being strapped in.
There is a removable padded insert at the back of the chair which is very easy to take out when your baby gets a little bigger. The tray is removable with a separate inner tray which is easy to clean and has four smaller outer compartments so it is great when you are giving your baby finger foods.
There are six different heights that you can adjust the highchair to and we have found the highest to be ideal when it is up to the table and the lowest is the same height as our sofa. The Aurora folds up smaller than most of the other highchairs that we considered so if you have a small dining or main room it is ideal.
The back of the highchair is also adjustable so if you wish to use the highchair whilst bottle feeding your baby will not be in an uncomfortable position. The tray of the highchair clips onto the back legs so if your baby is happy sat in the chair whilst not eating it is easy to store tidily.
The Aurora will cost between seventy and a hundred pounds new so as always I would recommend shopping around. If your budget is a little tight keep an eye out for bargains on Ebay, at charity shops and car boot sales. My wife has seen this at a charity shop for as little as twenty pounds. We have had no problems whatsoever with this highchair and I would happily recommend it.
Summary: Functional and affordable.
