I bought the Cosatto Noodle highchair in the popsicle pattern from a local retailer who had a special post Christmas offer on - it seemed like a well established brand with a good product for a mid range price (we didn't want one so cheap it wouldn't last, or one at the top end of the price range). The assembly of the product was a little tricky - all the parts are easy enough to put together, and there aren't a lot of steps involved in the assembly, but I found the instructions a bit confusing. Once constructed (and after having found all the various levers to operate the highchair) it is really easy to use. There is a lever at the back of the seat to recline the chair into one of the three available recline positions, two buttons at the side of the seat to adjust the height of the chair into one of six available height position, and two buttons underneath the tray to move it closer to or further away from baby, or to lift the tray off completely. There is an extra orange tray which attaches easily to the top of the main tray so there is the option of using a flat white tray, or the orange tray with cup holder spaces. The highchair folds up easily with the use of two buttons on the side of the frame, and as there are six height positions to choose from, it folds up very compactly when on the lowest height setting. There is a small footrest for baby, and a five point harness to keep baby safe and secure (this harness was a little loose and tricky to adjust at first but we got the hang of it). The pattern on the highchair is lovely - really bright and colourful as well as being suitable for both boys and girls, and the orange tray is a nice colourful touch. The seat cover and trays, as well as the footrest are all very easy to clean with soapy water, plus everything detaches easily enough (apart from the footrest which you attach with screws) should a more thorough clean be needed. I really think we chose a great highchair - sturdy and secure, easy to operate, easy to clean, and baby absolutely loves it!
I have this high chair in the tiddly om pom pom design (red and white), when I saw it online I had to have it, its so quirky looking and the red matches my kitchen perfectly. I spent a while searching around online trying to find the tiddly om pom pom design for less than £100 and I eventually found one on ebay for £70 brand new so snapped it up! As with all cosatto items it comes with 4 year guarantee. The high chair comes in very large box and has a lot of different part to put together, it came with a set of instructions that I found relatively easy to follow, I had the high chair put together in less than half an hour on my own, I do enjoy building bits of furniture so this may be a bit more difficult for someone who is less inclined to flat pack items. The tiddly om pom pom design consists of red shiny metal legs which have white corners, these corners have grips on them to stop the chair from dangerously sliding around. The front of the legs have the number 1 to 6 on them, this is for the 6 different height adjustments available. The seat unit part of the chair consists are large white plastic seat, then there is a very padded comfortable liner, the colour and pattern of the liner is different for each design, mine being red and white stripes. On the back of the seat unit there is a lever that allows you to adjust the reline of the chair, this has 3 different settings. The seat unit has a 5 point safety harness, again a different colour for each design, mine being a bright blue colour with white clasps. There is a large white tray that attaches to the to the front of the chair which also has a removalable blue insert, along the front of the tray it says "I do like to be beside the seaside". I've been using this chair now for 6 months since my little boy starting weaning, it has been everyday 3 times a day for that time and is still looking absolutely fabulous after the abuse it has taken. My little boy really likes his chair and is happy to sit to eat and will also sit in for up to half an hour whilst he watches me tidy up etc. The tray is easy to wipe down and can even be put in the dishwasher! My only gripe about this chair is cleaning the seat unit, naturally babies are messy eaters and food gets everywhere, with this chair having the large padded seat the food gets stuck in the groves and sometimes even gets under the liner, we had to give it a good scrub down every single day and at least once per week remove the seat liner and clean the seat unit, however I don't mind too much as I love how funky this chair looks and how the red matches my kitchen!
I bought this cosatto high chair from Amazon for £75 around 6 months ago now. I had been saving dooyoo vouchers for this high chair for ages, I had seen it out on display in Kiddicare, but it was £100 in there, so I decided I would get it on Amazon. This high chair comes in a few different designs, I bought the dippi egg design, as I thought it was cute and the others were a bit too girly, this was one of the only Cosatto high chairs that would be a nice design and colour for my son. He started using this high chair when he was 6 months old, and he couldn't sit up properly himself yet, but he looked comfortable and secure when I strapped him into this chair. It did prop him up well. This is a lovely high chair I have to say, I was very pleased with it and got so many comments off people when they came round about what a nice high chair it was. It's a shame my son hates being sat in a high chair most of the time! This was quite difficult for my boyfriend and me to put together. It came in so many different bits that you had to screw together. The instructions were ok, but not perfectly clear enough on some parts of the high chair and we had to sort of work out some of it ourselves as we could not understand some of the pictures. Once put together, it was easy to work out how to use it, e.g the different reclining positions etc. This high chair has 6 positions to adjust the height, which is great for putting the high chair right up to your kitchen table so your baby can join in meal times. It does have it's own tray for your baby, but this was the reason I had to send this high chair back to Amazon, as it was constantly falling off. It fits to the high chair by pulling two levers underneath and it clips onto the frame, but this just does not clip it secure enough and it was always falling off. It is also supposed to pull out to three different positions, so you can have it right up close to your baby for him to eat, and then pull it out to the third position so there is more room to put your baby in and out of the chair. Even with the tray in the third position, it was still a squeeze to get my son in and out without taking the tray off first. You can't take the tray off one handed either, you need two hands, as it is actually quite heavy and fiddly to unclip. The tray is white, and also has a green tray that clips inside, which has different sections to put food in and a space for a drink, which I think is a nice idea to put finger foods in different sections. This just pushes in and pops out again easily. The high chair has a 5 point harness, which is orange, and is easy to clip together and keeps your baby in the high chair securely. These were constantly getting covered in food, and although they are easy to wipe clean, they do need to be taken off and properly washed frequently, which was a bit fiddly. The seat is a wipe clean pvc, which is easy to clean, although on the seat where my sons legs are, there is a part in the middle, which goes in between your babies legs, like a bar, and there are grooves in the padded seat around this bar and food just gets stuck in these grooves and also goes in between the bar and the wipe clean seat so it ends up on the frame underneath. This seat also doesn't sit right up against the frame on the sides and food always goes down the sides. When you lift this cover off the frame, there is so much food underneath that my son has dropped! There are just so many nooks and crannies in this chair for food to get into, it found it really hard to keep clean! I was taking all the seat off every meal time to find all the bits of food, and it was really time consuming cleaning it all the time. The seat reclines too if your baby falls asleep although it only reclines slightly. There are three positions the seat reclines to. This is quite a bulky high chair, it does take up a lot of room in my kitchen. It does fold up if you take the tray off and hook it onto the back of the frame, but it is still bulky even when folded. It also has a foot rest but my son was too small to use this. This high chair is really nice looking, and it did do the job nicely for my son, although he didn't really enjoy being sat in it but I don't blame the chair for that, I just don't think he likes a high chair, as he doesn't like them in restaurants or the new one I have got for him! When I could get him to sit in it, he enjoyed eating the different foods from the different sections on the food tray and loved being the same height as us at the table. The tray being too fiddly and falling off frequently got really annoying for me and I got a refund from Amazon for it. It was such a shame, as I loved the look of this high chair even though it was so difficult to keep clean! It is expensive I think for what it is, I paid £75, but I do think it would have lasted years as it felt really well made, except for the tray not being very secure. I would recommend it even though I did have quite a few niggles with it, it's a shame as it looks really bright and modern, and comes in loads of different designs to choose from!
