The base is stainless steel and without the three heavy saucepan supports would be very elegant. De Dietrich DTG795X ... gas hob really isn t the most interesting thing to talk about but I shall persevere so you get a good understanding of this five burner gas hobs aesthetics and usability. The gas hob was easy fit - well it was for the engineer who fitted it for us into a standard IKEA cabinet meaning you should not have any problems with last minute glitches in getting something like this fitted neatly. The hob consist of four standard size burners and a much larger "wok" burner on the left hand side. Baumatic BT61 ... burners one small one and two medium sized ones and the front left one that you get a wok ring to place onto when using a large frying pan or wok. After i got mine installed i had a problem with the ignition of one of the burners. I got the kitchen company to come out and check it out and they could not solve the problem so i went direct to Baumatic. Straight away they arranged a engineer to come out and take a look at the problem. As it was found to be faulty i managed to get another hob although this was not straight away. Really do like the look of the Hob and can t fault Baumatic because as soon as there was a problem they sent someone around to have a look at it.... Siemens ER15354EU ... purchased this last year at £345 I note it s now only £229 so good value. A quality product with nice cast pan supports and brushed chrome finish which wipes clean easily. One of the reasons we bought this was the nice black glass inlaid panel where the controls are this matches our black worktop nicely. The downside is it s really hard to clean and always appears smeary despite polishing it! A good point though is that you don t have to reach over to the controls as they are at the front and they are easy to turn and use.
