I bought this Zanussi hob as part of a kitchen remodel a few years ago to give a nice modern feel to the worktop without having to fit an induction hob and lose the control that a gas burner gives. This stood out as a clear winner over everything else we saw that was in our price bracket. With it's clean flat glass surface and nicely designed black pot stands it certainly looked the part. Plumbing in the gas and electric was done by a qualified engineer but he was happy how easy it was to install and despite my best efforts at causing him problems by moving the hob to a different position from the old one, he had it all ready in no time. As you'd expect from a gas hob, it has an easily adjustable flame which can be as fierce or as timid as you need. I've been quite impressed by how low the flame on the Zanussi can go and it makes it ideal for a slowly cooked pot roast or for gently heating through a sauce. Cleaning a hob is never a job you'd describe as fun but at least here it is a doddle. The two pot stands lift off as do the burners to leave a predominantly flat glass panel. Even burnt on spills can be wiped off easily and after a couple of seconds replacing the burners the job is done. Auto ignition, good looks, good flame control and easy to clean. You couldn't ask for more from a hob.
