Bose 3-2-1 Digital Home ... much resaerching my hubby finally decided that this was the system he wanted. And I am not disappointed with it! The sound quality is superb and I love the fact that he also hasn t tried to run a mass of cables around our living room in order for us to have surround sound. Especially as we bought it around the time his godson was trying to pull every cable he saw! There is the main unit, which has a green LED display and is a charchol grey and light grey colured casing, then there are 2 speakers, which are quite compact - not even as big as a housebrick. This particular model looks very stylish, and in fact, is one of the better looking cinema systems on the market. There are some well designed features including a glow in the dark remote, which also adds a bit of novelty to the design. The sound produced is of good quality, with the small but powerful speakers reproducing a good range of tones. The Pro-logic II option will suit gamers who s consoles can t maintain full surround sound. As with many DVD systems, picture quality is dependent on the type of connection you are using. JVC TH P3 ... first one of these I got was a dead on arrival. The second was actually working, so that was a bonus! The cables for the speakers are all nice and long, they are easy to connect. In fact, setting this thing up was very simple thanks to easy instructions and the fact that it was obvious how everything slotted together. Once up and running, the sound quality is fairly good and it simulates stereo signals into 5.1 surround sound and has various presets for doing this (Movie/Music/Stadium etc) which is useful.
