Samsung HT Z310R ... recently had to try and find the perfect gift for my mum and dad for their 30th wedding anniversary. For a long time they have had a Sanyo television that was about 1 metre deep which took up far too much space and to be honest looked pretty ugly. The TV had also started going on the fritz and the picture kept vibrating until it had been on long enough to warm up , quite annoying as you could imagine. Therefore I decided they need a new home cinema experience. Samsung HT TX35 ... we bought this product about 3 months ago and are very impressed. We bought it because we wanted a surround sound system that matched our black tv and had tall boy speakers and had wireless capabilities. For wireless with the dvd player a wireless module SWA - 3000 need to be bought seperately. We paid approximately £220.00 for this dvd system from an online shop. It is an excellent system, we have had no faults and it displays a clear picture with excellent sound. It can play mp3s mp4s multi region dvds ( amercian / Japanese imports) also had optical imput which is ideal if using sound from a playstation 3 ( as we are) also had usb port so you can watch movie clips, ... Sony DAV IS10 ... fell in love with this system when I first saw it on the internet, then when I saw it in the "flesh" I just knew I had to have it. The size of the surround sound speakers is unbeleivable they are literally the size of a golf ball and i must admit to some doubts about their output. First things first, the price at the time (3 months ago) in Comet etc was £699.00! However after looking round the net I found it for £289.00 with free postage and a free HDMI lead. When it arrived, set up and installation was child s play, I connected it to my TV via HDMI cable and I have to say the picture quality is superb.
