I have had this system for a few months now and i use it pretty much all the time, sports movies and some times even a bit of corrie. Sony DAV DZ260S ... compared it to a recent buy my friend had of another serious competitor to Sony, and this was by for the best. The menu set up is easy, it has a lot of settings to adjust, but the instruction manual is suitably laid out to make it simple. There are a variety of sound settings and the difference is very clear, unlike some on the market that all sound the same. Though the appearence may not be as flashy as some of the others on the market but the sound quality to come from the 5 small surround speakers makes up for it. In general i would recomend this product, it is a fantastic Home Cinema System for the money that it is marketed for. This is Definately a must have.... Panasonic SC HT870 ... Panasonic SC HT870 is a very impressive 5.1 surround sound system. The sound quality produced is excellent and really takes films to a new level. The whole system (the main unit and the speakers) are silver in colour and all look very professionally finished - Panasonic have obviously spent a lot of time designing the speakers as they fit-in very well in the living room and don t seem at all out of place. The main unit can be used to play a variety of DVDs and also receive radio broadcasts which is useful for picking up local stations. The sound quality is excellent and allows different types of files to be played back easily from a DVD which you have burned from your PC. The cost is around £100 and is well worth the price. The colour is black and has the function to support USB which means you can plug you USB pen into the drive and play music and video. It plays region 2 DVD s and has an RGB port and one scart slot.
