... excellent piece of home theatre kit from Sony. With all the usual and expected DTS, 5.1ch surround, HDMI inputs/outputs etc this is a comprehensive system. Panasonic SC BT100 ... has an impressive sound and the Blu-Ray is really incredibly sharp. The installation is clear and simple (after you ve bought some extra cables). Philips HTS3500S ... I was very satisfied with this model which I bought 2 years back. But recently I was experiencing some problem with it. When I turn on the set it made a loud "thud" on the speakers and the unit goes to standby with the red lights blinking. Nothing happen when I use the power button both on the set and remote. Whenever this happen, I had to reset the unit by unplugging the plug for about 1 minute and reconnect. When I searched the internet, I found out that there are also other users experiencing similar problem. Samsung HT-X200 ... purchased this DVD/Home theatre system just before last christmas, and have to say its everything you could ask for. Originally bought because i loved how it looked - plus it matched our telly. It gives off amazing sound, it goes incredibly loud! And the sub is amazing - allows you to change to different virtual sounds as if in an actual cinema, plays all dvds. can connect to tv/sky/computer. In the whole year we have had the DVD player we have had no problems - very strong, even dropped a speaker once but it still is working perfectly (touch wood!!)
