JVC QP-F90AL

Description: Model ID QP-F90AL / JVC QP-F90AL - Home theatre system with DVD recorder / HDD recorder / The JVC QP-F90AL sophisticated home-theater-in-a-box system combines leading edge technology with elegant design. The QP-F90AL offers a new, enhanced version of JVC's Smart Surround Setup ... more
JVC QP-F90AL ... that makes surround speaker calibration a snap, and JVC's new omni-directional surround speakers that provide a broad soundfield for a cinema-like experience.

The 100 watt x 6 receiver included with the QP Series systems includes decoders for all popular, digital audio formats - Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, DTS, DTS-ES (Discrete 6.1/Matrix 6.1), DTS NEO: 6, DTS 96/24, and Dolby Pro Logic II. The receiver features JVC's exclusive Hybrid Feedback Digital Amplifier technology that allows the amplifier to be extremely compact yet deliver high power output. This new design uses a digital feedback loop to generate precise pulse width modulation signals and an analog feedback loop at the output to deliver a higher quality signal to the speakers.

In the QP-F90AL, the receiver is complemented by a matching, low-profile 160GB hard disk/DVD recorder. The hard disk recorder makes it easy to dub both digital and analog home videos, creating a vast library that can then be converted to DVD-R or DVD-RW discs that can be played on almost any consumer DVD player. The hard disk recorder also includes a coax input for recording broadcast and cable programs, and offers several options for simultaneous recording and playback.

As for DVD recording, the hard disk/DVD recorder combo records in the DVD-RAM, -R and -RW formats. A high quality picture is ensured thanks to JVC's Super MPEG Encode Pre-Processor employed during DVD recording and Super MPEG Post-Processor that during DVD playback minimizes MPEG noise to deliver a high resolution image even in the long recording mode. To further improve picture quality, JVC's Intelligent Dual-Pass Encoder Dubbing first records onto the hard drive and then onto the DVD. Compared to direct recording, this process provides superior image quality, especially in scenes with fast motion or many moving objects.

The QP-F90AL comes with five of JVC's exclusive direct drive floor-standing bass reflex speakers. Housed in a slim, cylindrical housing, these speakers provide an exceptionally wide soundfield and pinpoint definition. The system also includes a bass reflex center channel speaker and 100-watt powered subwoofer.
