A high-resolution audio format supported by JVC and most leading recording companies and consumer electronics manufacturers, DVD-Audio delivers up to 24-bit word benefit and 192 kHz sampling, which is 256 times more resolution than CDs and four times the frequency range. The new DVD-Audio format supports other coding systems such as Dolby Digital, DTS and DSD, and DVD-Audio discs can also contain video, graphics, text and links to the Web.
