Advantages: DVD/CD playback, sound seperation, good looks

Disadvantages: AM/FM tuner reception and interferance, lack of bass

Looked at several home cinema dvd players for the bedroom, saw and tried some but not impressed with some on offer, saw the Lenoxx in Dixons at £129.99 less 25%, asked the salesman about it, read the manual and I was very impresed at how comprehensive this was.

The Lenoxx 600 had DTS, Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic (but not Pro Logic 2) smart set, so decided to buy one. Got it home rigged it up, sounds superb, bass is as good as one would get with a passive sub, DVD reproduction superb, audio seperation good, plays all kninds of media.

Only problem is the Tuner section, there is constant interferance on all programmes, even local broadcast stations, AM and FM alike, took it back to Dixons, got a replacement, after conecting this replacement up, it is exactly the same as the first one, able to tune radio stations in but the reception is terrible, unable to listen to any with any clarity, tried all sorts of aerial connectiosn, nothing gave any real reproduction of broadcasts, I believ the fan at the rear of the chasis was casing most of the problems.

I emailed Lenoxx USA could not find UK site, and complained about the reception in detail hoping that they could help me sort this problem out, but no, they said return it to the shop for a refund, Iiked the machine, good DVD player, played everything, good sound, good loks but sadly radio, both FM & AM no good, took set back to Dixons today for a refund!

Most annoying thing is having to have to connect and unconnect the machine twice, unfortunatley I have managed to scratch two deep grooves in the top of my unit where the machine stood.

My machine was only region 2, but with the appropriate hack it is now multi region.
