Disappointing and unreliable (Panasonic SC HT70)

Advantages: Good for small rooms, 5 disc changer

Disadvantages: Unreliable, Prone to mechanism failure

I owned this all in one box home theatre system for about 11 months. Within that time period alone the 'laser pick up' failed and had to be replaced. Thankfully still under warranty but did take 8 weeks because of lack of spare parts and back order issues. Now, once again the CD/DVD component has failed. I am only just 3 weeks away from the end of the guarantee but god only knows how long they are going to take this time. Also to note, Panasonic UK customer care dept. very, very unhelpful in all aspects. Don't get one. Go for the Sony DAV system.

	- 15/10/02 Hiya and welcome... sounds like a bit of a disappointment really, I would have liked to have heard more about the product though - what speakers do you get with it, what's their max output, what connection ports does it have on it? How many scart sockets etc etc have fun! Fishbulb >><>?™

	- 14/10/02 I had this system and had it stolen when I was burgled a few months ago - we thought it was a fantastic system and didn't experience any problems with it at all - perhaps you were just unlucky. We now have the SC-HT75 model and are equally as pleased with that model too. Julie - PS sorry for low rating but you really need to add more information to write a very useful review - you need to add information about the product, how much it costs, what functions it has, etc, etc - if you decide to add more let me know and I'll take another look and re-rate. Thanks
