Panasonic SC MT 1 ... - Good Value for Money - Good New neighbours just moved in to our Apartments. The Johnson Family ( as they are ) moved in with a beautiful daughter, whom I yet have to date , a stupid son who prevents me from even looking at her ( forget the rest ) , a lazy dog that begs for food at every doorstep & it weighs over 56 pounds though being a poodle & not the least a Brand new Panasonic SCMT1 Home Theatre System which I managed to audition at the expense of treating that stupid son to a Box of Swiss Rum Chocolates. Panasonic SC DT 100 ... System is a great looking system and one you would be proud of having sitting under your television set. The good points, great picture quality, great sound, easy remote and lots of features. However there is one slight problem, Panasonic, have a compatibility problem with there own television sets. I have a TX28-PL-1, Panasonic television set and the two are not compatibility. The problem is there is a residual current going through the SV Video lead, which causes white lines up and down the picture, which is not noticeable, until you see them, then they are a pain. Panasonic SC DT300 ... compared this with the Sony 550 and the Pioneer DV88sw. The Panasonic's sound is far superior but sadly the fan noise is whining and intrusive at low sound levels. The mirror finish and display are excellent but the remote is very tacky, small with a lot of tiny buttons. The speakers are in a discrete black finish but the sound balance between the sub woofer and the satellites is seamless and very detailed. The Sony and the Pioneer are hopeless in this respect offering a disjointed thumpy and intrusive base level with a tinny treble and nothing in between.
