Advantages: Cheap, easy to use, Multi-region and USB port

Disadvantages: Not HD or BluRay

I bought this item, my very first surround sound system about two years ago. At the time I had very little knowledge of what exactly was good, and bad, about these set ups. Over the time I have had this player I have had nothing but good things appear. So all I was going on when I decided upon this one was the fact it was relatively cheap, it had 5.1, and it had the USB port with divX codecs.

When the player arrived I was instantly happy - it looked as good in real life as it had in the pictures I had seen online. Sleek and black and silver, it certainly looked the part. ONce set up I found that it did everything it had promised, and very well. The speaker quality is the best I have heard from any rival machine, and I have seen a good few in the past couple of years! The player is multi-region capable and with ease - no engineers remote required, just a simple combination on the player's own remote and the job is done.

There are plenty of options available, to tweak the sound and the picture, and the player is easy to set up when first bought thanks to the clever colour coded system on the back to plug the speakers into.

Put simply this player is the best around for the cost - forget HD as the upscaling is unnoticeable, and forget BluRay as the cost is still too high. If you want a good quality home theatre system, this is the one to go for, bar none.

Summary: Does everything it says and does it very well indeed
