I got this Philips Home Theatre system as a present for my birthday about two years ago. Having had it for two years, I am still very impressed with the quality this seemingly simple system offers. The installation is very straight-forward with all wires and sockets colour-coded making it nigh-on impossible to get the set up wrong. We managed to put all the wires underneath our wooden floor, ensuring the room is not full of wires. As the wires are very thin and well protected, this is a much better solution that installing wireless systems as these are prone to disturbances and all require separate power sources. Ive owned this for around 6 months now, and have been reasonably pleased with the system. Being fussy and having a Philips tv, I partly chose this to match, but there are better looking systems on the market. The other deciding factor was cost, at £135 it offered great value for money compared to others. The dvd player itself is a bit on the large size and because of the storage unit i have caused me some problems. Apart from this set up was quite simple. The sound quality is brilliant, much better than just the tv speaker.
