Philips HTS3154 ... bought this item, my very first surround sound system about two years ago. At the time I had very little knowledge of what exactly was good, and bad, about these set ups. Over the time I have had this player I have had nothing but good things appear. So all I was going on when I decided upon this one was the fact it was relatively cheap, it had 5.1, and it had the USB port with divX codecs. Philips HTS3100 ... ve had the Philips HTS3100 in our living room for about 6 months now and both myself and my fiancée are very impressed with it. The unit is silver and nicely finished with a blue digital display - however this does not display the time (whether the unit is on or off), meaning that we have to have a separate clock in our room. When it comes to playing DVDs, the HTS3100 is pretty good at its job. The sound quality is good - especially when watching action movies or listening to music. Philips HTS3357 ... owned this for around 6 months now, and have been reasonably pleased with the system. Being fussy and having a Philips tv, I partly chose this to match, but there are better looking systems on the market. The other deciding factor was cost, at £135 it offered great value for money compared to others. The dvd player itself is a bit on the large size and because of the storage unit i have caused me some problems. Apart from this set up was quite simple. The sound quality is brilliant, much better than just the tv speaker.
