Philips HTS3500S ... I was very satisfied with this model which I bought 2 years back. But recently I was experiencing some problem with it. When I turn on the set it made a loud "thud" on the speakers and the unit goes to standby with the red lights blinking. Nothing happen when I use the power button both on the set and remote. Whenever this happen, I had to reset the unit by unplugging the plug for about 1 minute and reconnect. When I searched the internet, I found out that there are also other users experiencing similar problem. Philips HTS3115 ... got this home cinema system when i got a new tv and ps3. I wanted a DVD player with a good surround sound system and good quality playback. I found this for a very good price of around £120 when alot of similar players cost a lot more. When i got the system home and took it all out of the box i found the simple step by step setup guide which told you exactly where to start and what to do. Each speaker is colour coded so you don t connect the wrong one and they are simple to connect. They are quite hard to unplug some of them though. The rear two speakers come with stands but they don t have to be on them, they can also be places on a surface or wall mounted. The front t... Philips LX 3750 ... purchased this home cinema system over 2-3 years ago. The DVD Player is sleak in design and has a digital display which has a mirrored effect on it when turned off. It is also has a solid build and weighs more that your average DVD player. The volume control is situated on the top on the DVD player and its design reminds me off the iPod control, very cool effect. It plays DVD s, VCD s, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW. Also has MP3 playback and plays your audio CD s. The player has a built in AM/FM radio too.
