Found the system very easy to set up, all cabling being colour coded, with safe plastic connectors. Connecting to the TV via the scary lead not only allowed the video from the DVD player to be displayed on the screen, but it also took the sound from the TV through the system. Along with scart, it has Component video out, giving a marginally better image on HD TVs, and it also has a line in port. I used the line in port with my TiVo box, letting me listen to music channels without the TV on, saving power. It also has a line in port on the front, which lets you connect an iPod, phone, laptop easily without having cables running round the back. Shame there is no coaxial or optical audio input, but Dolby Pro Logic compensates well (google it). It still outputs 5.1 true surround sound for DVDs, as it has the DVD player integrated into the unit. Sound is good and loud, however a dedicated bass control is not available, not that it is really needed. Built in FM radio is good, but requires a rooftop FM aerial. When connected to one, the sound quality from FM is considerably better than digital radio via the TV.
