This is a brilliant set up for the money, I managed to get this in a sale for the price of £120 what a bargain. This was really easy plug and play job, took about 20 mins to plug it all in and set it up. This thing is feature packed, but simple enough for even an av novice like me to use. The sound quality is brilliant and once prologic is switched on it creates a really nice soundstage, the sub kicks out a massive amount of rich deep bass which is really nice especially when playing music. I had mine connected to a Samsung HD tv and was really impressed with the dvd upscaling feature, the picture quality was alot better than I expected. I had mine connected to my pc aswell for music and I loved it sounded great, no quality lost atall even when cranked right up. This would be a great setup for anyone whos looking to start there first homecinema setup would definattley recommend it to anyone.
WOW! I have just bought a Sony Bravia 37inch LCD TV and managed to get this thrown in as well:)
Its not a blu ray player, but it does up-scale DVDs to 1080i which gives them an almost full HD quality. The DAV DZ260 has 5.1 channel (5 small surround speakers and one sub woofer) which when played in "pro logic" mode, really does give that "surround" feeling...Just like being at the movies!
As this model is in Sony's Bravia range, it has a useful little function.....you can sync it to your Bravia TV (if you have one). This means it can be controlled totally from the TVs remote. Saving the annoying build up remote controls you need to hand.
It has a usb, scart and a HDMI connectors, although you will have to buy these leads separately.
This little gadget is of superb build quality and packs a mighty punch for the price (£199 rrp). I would recommend this to anyone looking for a home cinema system that wont break the bank and still looks stylish.
This little fella makes my house rumble and a small, childish grin appear on my face...:)
