Ok, your after a home theatre system for the lounge. If your anything like me you want the best bang for bucks! Fortunately I did a lot of reading and found that this unit the Sony DAV-DZ260 is definitely the best for money.

You can buy one of these for under £150 now, and they are truely AMAZING!

The sound quality and sheer volume (if you want) is far more than you will EVER need. It truely brings the cinema to you. I bought this in conjunction with my Sony 40" LCD TV. It has something called 'Theatre Sync', which basically means you can operate both units, the DVD and the TV from either remote (handy really, especially as they are both SONY).

Can be a bit tricky to set up, but there is a comprehensive manual for the more in-depth settings. I've set mine up so that I can watch ALL TV programmes and DVD's etc in Surround Sound (ie coming out of all 5 speakers), which brings to life any programme, even Eastenders!!!!

So, if you have never had a home theatre, and want to bring to life your lounge, this is the one...

Downsides: The DVD doesn't support XVid and some other codecs
