I have had this Model for 6 months now and it still is superb. the sound quality is fantastic.I compared it to a recent buy my friend had of another serious competitor to Sony, and this was by for the best. The menu set up is easy, it has a lot of settings to adjust, but the instruction manual is suitably laid out to make it simple. There are a variety of sound settings and the difference is very clear, unlike some on the market that all sound the same. Though the appearence may not be as flashy as some of the others on the market but the sound quality to come from the 5 small surround speakers makes up for it. In general i would recomend this product, it is a fantastic Home Cinema System for the money that it is marketed for. This is Definately a must have.
I just bought this yesterday so am excited to be writing the first review for it! Wow, this system will not leave you disappointed! I bought it for £150 in the sale which I know was a bargain as I had my eye on it when it was £300 near Christmas. Average price for this is £150- 200 now depending on where you go. The first thing I have to say is that is is very easy to install, the manual and instruction sheet are both very clear in terms of pictures and instructions. Also, all the socket places and wire holders are colour coded so you know which speaker/ wire goes where. I really liked this, as electric installation has always been a weak point of mine. Secondly, the ease of access and the 'sync' (if you have a Bravia tv) is great, you don't need countless remotes to access various functions which I thought was really useful. Thirdly, moving on to the actual cinema sound- I tried this using The Dark Knight just to see what all the action etc would sound like- and I was seriously shocked! It's like you are right there in the middle of the action! Crashing, speeding, effects all add to the glorious sound quality that this system provides. I think if you were watching a movie like, say, Sex and The City you wouldn't be able to tell that much what this system is capable of but when you put sort of action/ thriller movies with all the effects in, you can really experience what a joy this system is. I then tried Transformers too, just to see the sound, and Wow! Was taken aback by how brilliantly real the effects felt i.e. if there's a crash in the movie I can hear it as if it's happening right next to me (depending on where you place the speakers). Love love love it, can't get enough of this and am telling all my friends with Lcds to go get this system. The subwoofer system is brilliant, the effects are great so much so that you'd want to stay home for a movie rather than go to the cinema- that's how good this is! The only disadvantage of this system I suppose is that it doesn't have wireless speakers (which was a bit of a disappointment but I took the extra long rear speaker wires around my door frame and put them at the back and because the wires are so thin they don't show so this is ok) but then I should have read the spec properly before buying, so that is partly my fault. Design wise, everyone that has seen my system so far always uses the words 'sleek' and 'wow'- so judge for yourself! Oh, I almost forgot! Do not forget to purchase a HDMI wire for this system, because when you see the picture quality that will give you on top of a 1080p 52" Sony Bravia- WOW!
