... is a brilliant set up for the money, I managed to get this in a sale for the price of £120 what a bargain. Sony DAV IS10 ... have had this unit for about a year now and am fairly happy with it. The look of it is excellent with it all finished of in a very stylish black. The satellite speakers are very small, about the size of a golf ball and they look good too. The up scaling feature on this unit is pretty good although not a patch on a blue-ray player. The sound quality on this system is the best I have heard from this type of all in one system with the subwoofer giving out some serious bass and the small speakers more than showing that size really does not matter. On the down side I am not too impressed with slide in DVD slot which although looks good, does not seem to take the disk too wel... Sony Bravia Theater DAV-IS50 ... i first saw the system it immediately ticked one box of needing very little space - each of the 5 surround sound speakers fit neatly into the palm of your hand. You may be hard pushed to believe that such little speakers can make much of a noise, but believe me they can. Lets just say one way to get the staff at Comet s attention is accidently starting up this machine on full whack. The sound quality of these tiny speakers is fantastic, and even better they will fit in absolutely anywhere. You ll hardly even notice that they are there and quite often you may have your friends jumping from their seats as an explosion goes off behind them if they ve not been forewarne... Sony DAV DZ260 ... I have just bought a Sony Bravia 37inch LCD TV and managed to get this thrown in as well:) Its not a blu ray player, but it does up-scale DVDs to 1080i which gives them an almost full HD quality. The DAV DZ260 has 5.1 channel (5 small surround speakers and one sub woofer) which when played in "pro logic" mode, really does give that "surround" feeling...Just like being at the movies! As this model is in Sony s Bravia range, it has a useful little function.....you can sync it to your Bravia TV (if you have one). This means it can be controlled totally from the TVs remote.
