DFS Sofas ... moved house a year ago and my old sofa did not survive the move - I set out to find a gorgeous replacement. This wasn t as easy as I had expected, especially on a budget. To cut a very long story short, I settled finally on DFS. To be honest, I didn t enter the store actually intending to buy, but having asked a few questions about a sofa my daughter and I were interested in, the salesperson was going nowhere until I had made a decision. I felt slightly pressured into choosing, however, having done that, I felt very pressured into agreeing to extras such as a stain proof coating. Ikea Billy Bookcases ... short of cash, and anyway more interested in what goes on a bookcase than the actual bookcase, I try to find a bargain buy when it comes to this piece of furniture. Unfortunately in the past this has led to me buying too cheap bookcases from places such as Argos (shudder). On one memorable occasion one fell on me in the middle of the night. So, moving on - Billy meets my cheap and cheerful criteria, costing a ridiculous mere 30 quid, but it also surpasses expectations on the sturdy and good looking fronts too. Dolphin Bathrooms in General ... awful, they gave me the wrong installation date and then called me a liar. The bathroom was fitted but the electrician damaged one of the units, they delivered another damaged unit. I then had water leaking down into my front room as the bath dropped considerably and now they have just delivered a new unti but have left it in the porch damaging the door and frame. So far they have cost me over £1000 in vacation I have had to take for them to come out and fix the awful installation, and I paid for this bathroom to be fitted in April 2008 - it s now July and the bathroom still isn t finished.
