Newest Review: ... about £150. So we left it where it was. When we got home, I kept looking through the catalogues to find something that I liked, and when I received the latest "Offers" Book from Studio they had the one I wanted. A much smaller version of the one I had seen in the Garden Centre. So I ordered it, along with some other bits to make it worth the postage, and waited for it to arrive, which it duly did. As I mentioned earlier, the basic shape is like an Egg with ridges running round it, and the small version that I bought has a bowl (similar in shape and size to a Soup Bowl) and a "plate" with a -0- shaped hole in for the... more

Accessories in general: Calming, Relaxing but not if you're Pregnant!!! (316 words)

I have wanted a Water Feature for ages now, and on a recent visit to my In-laws I saw the perfect one. It looked like a huge Blue Egg, with lots of ridges running round it from top to bottom. There were just two problems with it - 1) It was huge and would have been rather difficult to get home, even if we had a big enough garden to put it in, and 2) it was about £150. So we left it where it was. When we got home, I kept looking through the catalogues to find something that I liked, and when I received the latest "Offers" Book from Studio they had the one I wanted. Premium Review Versatile Heavy Duty Scissors - £1 (209 words)

Usable for everything, slicing through chicken, tough slippery fabrics, thick cardboard boxes and even metal cans. I do wonder though, why they thought cutting through cans is something they think the general populous wants to do. I have a pair upstairs, for sewing fabrics, two pairs in the kitchen, and a couple more roaming about the house. I don't think the manufacturer recommends it, but I always put the kitchen ones in the dishwasher after use, and they're still going strong. Yes, I know I shouldn't, but virtually everything goes into the dishwasher. The same style of scissors are available from Index for £1.75, but I haven't ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Accessories in general: Soap savers (395 words)

I recently bought a pack of 2 soap savers from QVC. I hate bars of soap because they always get in a mess and are not always user friendly. As a mother of two daughters every christmas and birthday we end up with loads of bars of wierd and wonderful fragranced and shaped bars of unwanted soaps. This product claims to turn all your solid soaps into thick creamy liquid soap by the beads on the bottom of the dispenser liquidising the soap. The demonstation sold me and I awaited my goods. They arrived and I filled both with a bar of soap each and the amount of water and waited for 24 hours. The time had come and I pushed the pump to try my liquid soap. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Non Traditional Air Fresheners (358 words)

I tend not to use spray air fresheners because they smell so 'false' so I use a number of different ways to scent my home. Nice aromas though really make a difference to your surroundings. Citrus scents are lively and invigorating, sandalwood and patchouli are more sensual and ideal for the bedroom. Pine promotes a feeling of cleanliness and florals evoke memories of the great outdoors. All these perfumes can be replicated in the home without the use of a spray can! Scented candles are very popular these days and you can purchase the smallest candles which fit into little glass holders, right through to large pillars and unusual shaped ...  Read the complete review

I invested in an inflatable chair at university . I bought a clear one from Argos for about 7 pounds . They do them in blue and pink as well I think . You can get them from other stores too i've seen them in The Gadget shop and lots of other stores , but they tend to be priced about the same . They also come with a puncture repair kit , but i'm glad to say I haven't needed to use it yet !!! You may think the plastic is a bit tacky and yes I have to agree , this is why I bought a cheap throw to cover mine with and now it looks fab , like a cosy arm chair . It's perfect for curling up in the evenings in with a good book .The Argos inflatable ...  Read the complete review
