Advantages: economical in longterm good for the enviroment
Disadvantages: messy to decant
I recently bought a pack of 2 soap savers from QVC. I hate bars of soap because they always get in a mess and are not always user friendly.
As a mother of two daughters every christmas and birthday we end up with loads of bars of wierd and wonderful fragranced and shaped bars of unwanted soaps.
This product claims to turn all your solid soaps into thick creamy liquid soap by the beads on the bottom of the dispenser liquidising the soap. The demonstation sold me and I awaited my goods. They arrived and I filled both with a bar of soap each and the amount of water and waited for 24 hours.
The time had come and I pushed the pump to try my liquid soap. Unfotunately the soap had got clogged in the tube and would not work. Not to be detered I unscrewed container number one armed with a seive, bowl,funnel and old liquid soap dispenser.
I found that by emptying the contents of the Soap saver into the seive with the bowl below I had found my precious lovely thick liquid soap. I emptied the remainder of the soap back into the saver added more water and emptied the second saver in the same way into the jug. When I poured my soap into a bottle I found I had 250ml of liquid soap.
The best thing is that out of just two average bars of soap which have not been used to the full capacity yet I have so far gathered over a litre of liquid soap. It is an ongoing process. Every couple of days you empty the soap saver of the liquid soap and add more water or if there is
hardly any soap more pieces . You can use any kind of soap ever the tiny bits you end up throwing away.
BY christmas I will ahve got my money back and will continue to save a fortune .It's good for the enviroment too. I will even be decanting some into fancy bottles for christmas prezzies .Although a little messy to decant I am so pleased I bought it. You only really need one soap saver as the liquid soap soon builds up so if I had to buy again I would split the pack with
a friend.
