Advantages: Does the job, non slip grips on feet

Disadvantages: There are sturdier airers out there

When my husband and I got married we had one of our wedding lists in argos. Now, we were starting from scratch when we got married, so we needed practically everything including the likes of an airer, given the UK climate and thankfully someone bought us this Argos 3 tier indoor airer that we had on our list, which if I remember right at the time cost £16.99 but is actually currently on offer in Argos.

We needed an airer that would fold flat when not needed but neither did we want one that would be too large as we simply didn't have the room for it to be too bulky. So, this three tier airer looked ideal, tall but also foldable when not needed and at a good price. In facts it folds down completely flat which means it can be put under the stairs or up against a wall out of the way.

One good feature of this airer is the fact that it has non slip grips on the base so you put it onto a tiled floor without worrying about it slipping. It also has little grips at some of the joints which are useful when you are taking the airer down and need a good grip. This product also claims to hold enough space for two washes and that may be true for a couple, but with us now having a baby I wouldn't say that we could put two loads of washing on this airer, but that said, it does offer a lot of space, and it has been constructed in such a way and angle that the air does seem to get around the clothes and help them to dry, as well and as quick as can be expected when the clothes are inside rather than outside drying.

Rather than hanging the clothes in rows like some traditional airers, this airer has tiered bars so more air should be able to get in and around the clothes drying them quicker.

I find this airer to be a necessity with all the rain that comes our way. There is no way we could keep on top of the washing if we didn't have this airer, either to finish things off that have been outside drying, but also to hand wet clothes when it is too wet for them outdoors. THere are probably sturdier dryers out there and I do have to be careful with my little girl as if she reaches out to use it to pull herself up or cruise around, she could easily topple it, but it depends how much you really want to spend, and to be honest, as long as a basic one does my job, why would I want to put a lot of money into something that is really only there to hang clothes on!

Summary: A good airer for the price
