Following my move into my flat I needed to pick up a computer table and chair so that I could have my pc in the living room and with the rest of the furniture being glass I decided that I had to keep to the same theme with this piece also. Many of my purchases for my furniture had been from Argos thanks to the excellent prices I could get stuff for and the quality of my previous purchases through them so this was my first place to look and when I spotted this it ticked the boxes.

The piece itself is not the most easy piece of furniture you are ever going to put together but if you sit and read the instructions it will not take you too long to do and once it is done you have no worries about this again. The desk itself looks fairly nice and once the pc is sat on this you don't really notice the pc looking out of place in your room thanks to the design of the desk itself.
My layout is that I have the processing unit stood up and facing to the side for easy access, my monitor on the top of the desk and along with the mouse and the keyboard on the slide out tray and I have found that the desk offers up plenty of space for you without taking up excess floor space that is not needed.
The glass is clear so will show up dirt and dust quickly so cleaning this regularly is a must but this is your only maintenance needed.

The chair is made of plastic with metal legs and is on wheels making it easy to move around and to be fair it is not the most uncomfortable computer chair I have ever used (if you are looking for extra comfort then put a throw over it). The chair also looks ok so is not going to look stupid if you have this sat in your living room which for someone with a lack of space is excellent.

Overall this is an excellent purchase for those in a position like myself who are looking for furniture but want to spend as little as possible but have glass furnishings in mind. The desk and chair set is normally £36.09 but you get this on deal sometimes (08/12/09 £30.39) which is really excellent value for a desk that is strong and spacious with a chair that is adequate for myself and my wife who both use the PC regularly.

Negatives:

- Takes some effort to put up
- Takes a lot of cleaning as clear glass

This overall is an excellent pc desk and chair set well worth the money and the time to assemble it but you can get better desks if you have a bigger budget.
