“ Brand: Argos / Type: Wardrobe „
It was time to finally purchase bedroom furniture for the new flat and the original set that I wanted was out of stock and because I'm so impatient I didn't want to wait one day until they were back in so I went along to Argos and my first choice was the Napoli range. Although we didn't need this to put clothes in I still bought this along with two other items from the Napoli range. This wardrobe comes in 2 or 3 doors but I only needed the 2 door and this retails at £69.99. This is a standard price for a wardrobe these days so I cannot complain at the price. Despite having no choice in getting my other items delivered I wasn't allowed this delivered from in store so I had no choice but to take it the same day, highly irritating when I had already paid for the delivery of 2/3 of my items yet wasn't allowed this to be delivered.
=== Assembling ===
This came in two separate long boxes which was unnecessary due to so much excess packaging that we're now still trying to dispose of. Thankfully this included all the screws and tacks needed because I was unsure and thought I might have to go out and buy these separately. This came with instructions but this is self explanatory really so we only referred to the a couple of times when involving the doors. the top, bottom and both sides slotted together really easy and then it was just screwing in the screws in the holes provided. When putting the back on we had to improvise because we had no hammer to put the tacks in with we ended up using a shoe and a can of tuna, it turns out the can of tuna worked out a lot better than the shoe. Overall this is the first time either of us had put up a wardrobe and it took us a good hour due to the screws being tight to screw in, canning in the tacks and putting the bottom on upside down.
=== Design ===
This design of this really simple and when you look at it, it does make you wonder why it is so much money when the design is nothing out the ordinary. This is the colour "wenge" why they have to dry and make it sound fancy instead of just calling it "brown" I don't know. But essentially this is just a deep brown colour - wenge. We built this up in the bedroom so we didn't have to carry it around anywhere and just move it into position. I left Lee to move this to where we wanted it but he didn't struggle at all but to me this was a bit heavy and when It comes to moving this I will probably need help. The only thing that makes this wardrobe stand out is the silver squared handled even though they are nothing special either.
=== Durability ===
So haven't had this up for long but so far so good, it's sturdy but a little rickety perhaps because we never put the bracket on the top to fix it to the wall, but we haven't done that to anything else and everything else is just fine without having to do this.
=== Overall ===
Like I said we never bought this to even put clothes in, there is no storage spaces in the flat to put things like the hoover and mop bucket amongst other things so I suggest we get a wardrobe to find the things like this so we did, when you think of it like that the £69.99 we paid for it seems a little bit too much but we couldn't find anything cheaper that didn't look horrible, this was easy to put up but would of been quicker if the screws went in easier. Also when we got this out of the packaging it was dirty like the manufactures couldn't be bothered to clean this yet had the cheek to sell it at a high price.
